Who's the world's greatest Olympic athlete?

Well, Ashton Eaton can legitimately stake his claim to be just that. 

The 28-year-old Oregon native is one bad, bad man.

Not only did he win the gold medal in the decathlon at the Rio Games on Thursday night, but the victory marked the American's second consecutive Olympics with decathlon dominance.

The grueling event's second day had Eaton competing in everything from the 110-meter hurdles to the discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw and 1,500-meter race all in succession.

That's after day one's events, which included him competing in the 100-meter dash, running long jump, shot put, high jump and 400-meter race.

Look how spent Eaton looked as he crossed the finish line, securing his second straight gold in the event.

“You really just have to try to be smooth and treat each attempt with 90 percent effort in a way,” Eaton said earlier in the week, describing his strategy, as reported by Huffington Post.

After accomplishing his goal, Eaton beamed about his wife, Brianne Theisen-Eaton, winning the bronze medal in the heptathlon during the Rio Olympics.

That must be one competitive household.
