Vin Diesel Names Daughter Pauline, After Paul Walker
Vin Diesel is a dad again and he shared his special moment with his recently departed Furious 7 co-star Paul Walker. The action star named his newborn daughter Pauline, after his late friend.
"While I was in the hospital, the name that I will give you is... I named her... I named her Pauline," a visibly emotional Diesel said on the Today Show.
Speaking on the delivery room experience, Diesel further expounded on his decision to name his daughter after Walker, saying that he felt his presence in the room: "There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord," he said. "I just thought... I knew he was there and it felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world."
Diesel, 47, and his girlfriend Paloma Jimenez, 31, are already the proud parents of two: Hania, 6, and Vincent, 4.
Paul Walker died at the age of 40 in November 2013 after a tragic car crash. He will make his final film appearance in the Fast & Furious franchise next month when Furious 7 hits theaters.
