'Clay and Reecie Live' Goes Back On The Road For 'Beyond The Mic'

The dynamic duo will bring their fiery, signature style to discuss politics and much more in Maryland, Atlanta, and Houston.

Last year, SiriusXM's beloved radio duo, Clay Cane and Reecie Colbert took their show on the road with "Beyond the Mic," a live version of their popular radio programs. This year, they are back with an even more ambitious plan to spread the word about democracy, wrapped in the joy and laughter that have become their trademark. The tour, which opens in Bethesda, Maryland on August 17 at the Round House Theater, is set to continue its tradition of sold-out performances and unforgettable moments.

"Clay and Reecie Live" brings the energy of their SiriusXM shows, "The Clay Cane Show" and "The Reecie Colbert Show," to life on stage. This week marks the sixth anniversary of "The Clay Cane Show," which has featured interviews with a wide range of influential figures, from Vice President Kamala Harris to Tyler Perry, a testament to Clay's incisive commentary and engaging style. Reecie Colbert's show, highlighting conversations with notable individuals such as Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, complements this with her vibrant personality and keen political insights, making their combined efforts powerful in politics and entertainment.

Clay Cane, fresh off the success of his New York Times bestselling book, "The Grift: The Downward Spiral of Black Republicans from the Party of Lincoln to the Cult of Trump," is particularly enthusiastic about this year's tour. He told BET.com, "This year, being an election year, we have incredible special guests lined up, but we're also going to bring some much-needed joy. Times are crazy, and we want to provide a space where everyone can feel safe, whether they're Black, gay, queer, younger, or older. It's a place to be yourself and enjoy some laughter."

Reecie Colbert, equally thrilled, added, "'Beyond the Mic' is like a family reunion like no other. Last year, we played a dating game version of my 'Am I Trippin' card game. This year, we're once again bringing a live version of Clay's Black Trivia Quiz game. It's going to be fire!" Their ability to create an inclusive and entertaining environment is a hallmark of their shows, and this tour promises to elevate that experience even further.

The "Beyond the Mic" tour will make stops in Bethesda, Maryland on August 17 at the Round House Theater. Also, two shows in Atlanta, Georgia on September 7 at the 7 Stages Theater, and on October 19 at the Community Collective in Houston

Last year, their Atlanta stop featured Yutico Briley, who spent over eight years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
