C-Murder’s Life Sentence Appeal Falls Through
It’s been a long, intense struggle for C-Murder who has been trying to prove his innocence for shooting a 16-year-old in 2002.
The Louisiana No Limit rapper, born Corey Miller, has tried to appeal a court decision ordering him to a life sentence in jail for the crime. He was convicted of second degree murder.
The Washington Post reports his legal efforts were overturned as a three-judge panel in a Louisiana appeal court upheld the original 2009 murder conviction.
According to the Post, Miller claims the jury was racially biased and the judge allowed prejudicial witnesses and testimony into the case. These arguments were rejected.
There’s been no statement from him or his lawyer. The question of whether he will appeal again remains.
