Amanda Seales Goes Off On Lady Gaga For Asking Black Folks How White People Should Fight Racism

Social media is weighing in.

The recent horrific events in Charlottesville have sparked several public figures, many of whom are minority-identifying, to speak out against the racially charged riots. 

However, Lady Gaga chose to take the time to speak out for the "non-racist white community" by asking members of the African-American community how they can "do better" to help facilitate a change in the currently destructive racially divided America. One person who was not here for her call for tips was Insecure actress Amanda Seales, who took to Twitter to explain her gripe.

This all started when the "Perfect Illusion" singer posed this question to the Black community:

  • Seales, who is known for her activism and vocal criticism of race relations in America, voiced that she saw a problem with Gaga's approach, making it a point to highlight how it is not the responsibility of Black folks to teach white people what is "right."
