Halle Berry Launches Production Company

The actress will produce television projects under 606 Films.

Looks like we're going to see a lot more of Halle Berry behind the camera. The Oscar-winning actress has launched a new production company to produce projects for television. Berry reportedly caught the bug for producing after serving as executive producer on her upcoming Steven Spielberg series, Extant. (Berry stars as an astronaut who returns home after a year-long tour of space and attempts to reconnect with her husband and child.)
Berry has named the company 606 Films, after the anti-paparazzi bill she helped get signed into law last year. The legislation protects celebrities' children from over-aggressive photographers.

Berry's production partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, says, "606 Films is named for the anti-paparazzi bill, Senate Bill 606, which Halle fought so hard for and won, when no one believed it could be achieved. It truly informs the spirit of our company — making dreams possible, one bill at a time."
No word yet on upcoming projects from the company, which has a two-year deal with CBS Studios.
