Jean Elie is thrilled to be married!

The Insecure alum announced that he wed his longtime girlfriend Randall Bailey on September 24 (Sunday) in a charming ceremony surrounded by 110 friends and family in Braga, Portugal, as reported by Essence. Elie’s Insecure co-star, Issa Rae, was in attendance.

“Our wedding far and away exceeded all my expectations,” Bailey told the publication. Elie said, “My heart was filled with joy as I watched our family and friends blend together as if they had known each other for years.”

Elie –who also doubles as a producer– shared candid moments from their wedding on social media. “So the other day I did a thing,” he wrote in the caption.

During the ceremony, Elie walked down the aisle with his mom. He paid homage to his Haitian roots by rocking a taupe suit from a Haitian tailor and designer. His beautiful bride wore a stunning white gown with an enchanting train. “We went with neutral tones for our wedding because we wanted the venue to shine,” he said.

The couple initially met in 2015 at Dockweiler Beach in Los Angeles, and shortly after, Bailey slid into his DM’s. Though they would begin dating, the duo hit a fork in the road but would eventually find their way back to each other. In June 2022, Elie popped the big question. The actor told the outlet that he knew she was the one because “...when we broke up, I constantly kept thinking about her.”

“Then after Insecure and after a couple bad situations, someone was asking me, ‘Who would you talk to?’ There was only one girl I missed, and I ended up messaging her. I found my person.”

“We could just sit in a room and not talk to each other and just be and we still feel connected in that moment,” Elie added. “That’s how I know I found my person, and the fact that I’m willing to grow as an individual because of her.”
