T.I. Speaks On Tekashi 6ix9ine Coming Home After Prison
The status of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s life after his headline-grabbing, three-day testimonial has loomed over the trial as one big question mark. Speculation has run rife as to what will happen to the 23-year-old once he is released from custody.
The most likely assumption is that he will be put in the Federal Witness Protection program in consideration that it’s a high possibility that his life could be at risk after he turned over the names of 11 of his Nine Trey Bloods associates.
The other option is that he will resume life normally, which may seem dangerous to some given his circumstances. Furthermore, the disgraced rapper has fallen from the graces of the hip-hop community. One rap luminary, however, doesn’t think the blow back will impede his career in the long run.
T.I. recently swung by Big Boy’s Neighborhood where he weighed in with his opinion on Tekashi’s testimony. Speaking with the Real 92.3 radio veteran, the trap pioneer shared that he doesn’t think the 23-year-old will face many problems if any coming home once he’s out of prison—this, to the incredulous disbelief of the radio show’s hosts.
One of the show’s hosts opined that “he cannot go back to the hood after snitching.” The Grand Hustle boss man rebuffed it, stating “that’s what you don’t understand. It’s a bunch of rats walking around right now.”
The way Tip sees it, Tekashi will do a much shorter bid in prison than his Nine Trey associates. But as far as being blacklisted in the streets, the Grand Hustle boss man says there are people who will have no problem welcoming Tekashi once he comes home.
"They riding 'round with somebody they know done told in they 'hood right now, because, 'Well, he didn't tell on me.' This cat can come home and throw parties and the parties be popping. It be full," Tip said. "So if motherf**kers don't f**k with rats, how the hell is this party so packed? And everybody knows how cuz came home. Everybody knows what happened."

T.I. wasn't shocked at Tekashi's decision to cooperate and doesn’t think he will serve a long sentence either.
“It was either that or he was going to get himself killed,” the 38-year-old reasoned. “I knew he wasn’t going to go for a long time or no RICO case. I [just] didn’t know it was going to happen as soon as it did. I thought the run would’ve been longer. I didn’t know that it would come to such an abrupt halt.”
