Will Smith Praises Jada Pinkett Smith as His Ultimate 'Ride or Die'
For better or for worse, Will Smith knows his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, is truly set apart.
While discussing his new summer blockbuster, "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," with Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday (May 15), Will identified the people that he dubbed his "ride or die."
"It's funny, I was just talking about this, I have always been blessed that there has never been a time in my life when I didn't look to the side and have a ride or die right there," said Smith. "Jada is one of the most gangsta ride-or-die's I've ever had."
Along with his wife of 26 years, he said former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" co-stars DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro are "ride or die" people in his life.
Will and Jada met on that same show in 1994 when she auditioned to play his girlfriend. Ironically, she didn't get the part, though.
A year later, they began dating and eventually tied the knot on Dec. 31, 1997. Along their journey, they welcomed two kids: Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23. Will is also the dad of Trey, 31, from a previous relationship.
Despite Jada revealing they'd been separated since 2016 during an interview in 2023 and then declaring they are life partners, their bond remains unbreakable.
