Ex-NFL Player Zac Stacy Appears In Court After Arrest For Domestic Violence
Former NFL player Zac Stacy appeared at a Florida court on Friday (Nov. 19), accused of a brutal attack on his ex-girlfriend that was captured on video, CBS Orlando affiliate WKMG reports.
Orlando police arrested Stacy, 30, on Thursday night at the Orlando International Airport as he exited a flight arriving from Nashville and booked the former Jets and Rams running back into the Orange County jail.
At his court appearance, bond was set at $10,150, and he was served with a temporary injunction to stay away from his ex-girlfriend. He’s charged with aggravated battery and criminal mischief.
The police in Oakland, Fla., responded to a call about a domestic violence incident on Nov. 13 at Stacy’s ex-girlfriend’s home. When they arrived, Stacy had already fled the scene. She accused the former football player of attacking her while they were having a heated argument.
Police confirmed that a surveillance video circulating on social media was the same video given to them and was used for their investigation. It shows a man punching a woman in the head and shoving her into a TV set.
It appears from the video that their infant was in the room when the attack occurred.
Stacy fled the state but booked a flight back to Florida when authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.
