2023 NAACP Image Awards: Jennifer Hudson, Trevor Noah, Viola Davis Declare Victory
The 54th annual NAACP Image Awards have announced their second round of winners in the non-televised award categories before the live airing of the award ceremony on Saturday (Feb. 25) at 8 p.m. ET. Categories included outstanding literary, variety show, reality program, news information awards, and more.
Winners included several familiar such as Jennifer Hudson for Outstanding Host in a Talk or News/Information (Series or Special) – Individual or Ensemble – “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, Tabitha Brown for Outstanding Host in a Reality/Reality Competition, Game Show or Variety (Series or Special) – Individual or Ensemble – “Tab Time,” Trevor Noah for Outstanding Variety or Game Show (Series or Special) - “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” Viola Davis for Outstanding Literary Work – Non-Fiction “Finding Me” and more.
Night two of the non-televised virtual experiences was hosted by actress Bresha Webb. There were plenty of special guest appearances from presenters, including Coco Jones, Tichina Arnold, Amber Riley,, Angie Martinez, Niecy Nash-Betts, the cast of “Harlem” Meagan Good, Tyler Lepley, Jerrie Johnson, and Shoniqua Shandai, and many more.
The winners will be revealed during the two-hour LIVE TV special, airing Saturday, February 25th, 2023, at 8:00 PM ET on BET and 8:00 PM PT on delay. The show will be in front of an audience for the first time in three years.
