Tyler, the Creator Kills EarlWolf Collaboration
Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, the Creator won't be dropping the joint LP EarlWolf. Despite releasing a few tracks off the album, a full-length project isn't in the near future, the Odd Future frontman confirmed on his Spring.Me account last week.
"I don't want to do it anymore and to be honest it will never live to the expectations of people that really want it," he wrote in response to a fan question. "Not that that really matters," he continued. "But I'm not in the mind frame to do a whole album of that sh--. i dont want to do it."
The 23-year-old, who was arrested earlier in the month for allegedly inciting a riot at SXSW, wants to expand his career outside of music. Once he takes some time away, Tyler might be motivated to start recording again, he said. "Maybe one day when I don't want to make clothing and furniture and gay a-- fruity music about lakes and sh--, I’ll get back around to hard hitting raps but the way things are looking, it’s only gonna get worse until I turn full fa-.”
Last year, Earl Sweatshirt said that he and Tyler would get to work on the collaboration when they were "ready to sit down for a month and a half and do it." It looks like that day never came.
