Watch: President Obama Hilariously Shouts Out J.R. Smith's Shirt at the White House

And what POTUS had to say about Shumpert's quick-thinking baby delivery skills.

President Obama has jokes — especially when it comes to congratulating championship sports teams at the White House.

And Thursday afternoon, when he honored LeBron James and the 2016 NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers on the White House's South Lawn, wasn't any different.

There, POTUS made sure to keep the laughs coming. Just ask J.R. Smith.

Referring to the Cavs' shooting guard's penchant for going shirtless in the aftermath of the team's championship victory — and again in attempt to rally the Cleveland Indians during the World Series — President Obama hilariously thanked J.R. for getting fully dressed to come to the White House.

"I wasn't sure if it was going to make an appearance today," the commander-in-chief said about Smith's shirt. "I'm glad you came. You're a very nice shirt," he joked, seemingly to the shirt.

Too funny.

He was also in awe about Cavs guard Iman Shumpert's heroic baby-delivery skills for his baby daughter, Junie, last December.

"Iman Shumpert, playing not only great defense and scoring, but also delivered his wife's baby in the bathtub, using a pair of headphones to tie the umbilical cord," POTUS said later. "Now, that's something right there! That was an All-Star move."

And speaking of Shump, look how amazed he was to find out that the podium was movable at the White House.

All jokes aside, President Obama was sure to mention "The Block," referring to LeBron James's swat of Andre Iguodala's layup attempt in Game 7, "The Shot" in reference to Kyrie Irving's game-winning shot and "The Stop" in reference to Kevin Love's perimeter defense on Stephen Curry's late 3-pointer in the same game.

In addition, he acknowledged King James being a kid from Akron, Ohio, and coming back to Cleveland to fulfill his promise of delivering a championship to The Land.

While celebrating their NBA title, the Cavs made sure to take plenty of pictures during their visit to the White House — none better than Channing Frye photo-bombing LeBron and FLOTUS.

Shumpert's wife, Teyana Taylor, even made sure to make a statement, getting her hubby to take a picture of her posing by a large Hillary Clinton frame.

President Obama congratulated the Cavs just over an hour after meeting with president-elect Donald Trump inside the Oval Office.

During his congratulatory call to the team following their championship win in June, Obama had invited the Cavs for a visit at the White House before he leaves office.

Well, they took him up on the offer ... and avoided a visit with Trump in the process.
