Omari Hardwick stars as Curtis, a regular at the famous Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City who catches the eye of budding poet, Kalindra Stepney (played by Shanola Hampton). The only problem is that Kalindra is married. 
At home, Kalindra's marriage to Ronnie (played by Elimu Nelson) isn't as harmoniuos as the poems that she writes. With a troubled marriage and a man who literally enjoys her every word (Curtis), what will Kalindra do?
Will her beautiful words unfold into an equally beautiful love affair? Or will both her marriage and potential love not have a happy ending?
