Another promising young life was lost this weekend to an apparent drug abuse battle.

Jamie Sangouthai, a Kardashian family friend and best friend to Lamar Odom, passed away Sunday (June 14), according to Malika Haqq. The exact cause of death has not been revealed.

"Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed... RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll," the reality TV starlet wrote on her Instagram.

His half-brother "Castillo" confirmed the news. "I have only met him a handful of times in my life because I didn't even know he existed until I was 15. He grew up in the streets of queens NY where we were both born. He was at one point a millionaire with everything he could ever want in life. But Hollywood chewed him up and spit him back out," he wrote.

"But yet no matter when he was rich or poor he always had love for my sister and I and was very good at showing it, no matter how hard the drugs made it for him to focus on one thing. In the end we were all he had and we tried our best to save him from his drug use but we lost him. As of today I am sad to say he is no longer with us. May he R.I.P. I love you bro, always have and always will."

Sangoutahi is most popularly known for his appearance on Khloe & Lamar, a spinoff of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. He was a next door neighbor and worked with Odom on his clothing line, Rich Soil.

Khloe Kardashian expressed her sorrow on Twitter.
