Drake To Give Away $2.3 Million Prize From Super Bowl Bet To Fan
Drake is now two million dollars richer after a Super Bowl gamble, but he's aiming to pass his earnings on to someone else.
On Saturday (Jan. 10), the rapper placed a $1.5 million bet –on Stake whom he is a stakeholder– that the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the San Francisco 49ers. Drake won, big time. The bet he wagered turned into a $2.3 million prize, but the "Rich Flex" rapper intends to bless a special person with the cash.
A day before kickoff, the chart-topping artist reportedly took to his Instagram Story with a screenshot of his wager and his multi-million dollar plan.
"If I win somebody getting super blessed at the show tmrw," Drake explained on his show in St. Loius, MO.
He also reposted his screenshot onto his feed with a different caption while showing love to Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.
"I can’t bet against the swifties @stake," he wrote.
Now that the Chiefs are this year’s winner, coming out on top against the 49ers in a 25-22 game, there’s only one question, "Is there a new millionaire in the STL?"
Drake is currently on the road with J. Cole for their “It’s All A Blur Tour.” On Monday (Jan. 12), they performed in St. Louis, MO at Enterprise Arena. At the time of this reporting, it appears that no one has been selected as the winner of the multi-million dollar prize. Both artists will return for night two at the same venue on Tuesday (Jan. 13) night.
Despite Drake Curse, this is not the first time Drake has won while placing a hefty wager on an athletic bet. During last year's Super Bowl, he wagered $700,000 that the Chiefs would win against the Eagles, as reported by Uproxx.
He won that bet, which turned into a $1.4 million payout.
