We Are All As Obsessed As Leslie Jones Is With This French Black Figure Skater's Bounce Back During A Beyoncé-Inspired Routine

Mae Berenice Meite's shows you don't have to be perfect for your #BlackGirlMagic to shine.

No one can liven up an event quite like Beyoncé, which is why it's not surprising that a Black French figure skater became a new Olympic sensation when she incorporated two songs from Queen B into her program.

As part of her figure skating team event, Mae Berenice Meite, of France, skated to a medley of "Halo" and "Run The World (Girls)." Although she had a couple of falls during her routine, Meite showed that you can't stop a Black girl from setting the ice on fire.

  • Meite quickly became a trending Twitter topic for her popular song choices

  • Comedian Leslie Jones, who is known for live tweeting the Olympics, could not help but cheer for the French figure skater

  • Although Meite's program was not perfect, #Blackgirlmagic is also about showing people how you bounce back from a spill

  • She may not have placed first, but Meite takes home the gold for many viewers
