We Are All As Obsessed As Leslie Jones Is With This French Black Figure Skater's Bounce Back During A Beyoncé-Inspired Routine
Mae Berenice Meite's shows you don't have to be perfect for your #BlackGirlMagic to shine.
No one can liven up an event quite like Beyoncé, which is why it's not surprising that a Black French figure skater became a new Olympic sensation when she incorporated two songs from Queen B into her program.
As part of her figure skating team event, Mae Berenice Meite, of France, skated to a medley of "Halo" and "Run The World (Girls)." Although she had a couple of falls during her routine, Meite showed that you can't stop a Black girl from setting the ice on fire.
Meite quickly became a trending Twitter topic for her popular song choices
Comedian Leslie Jones, who is known for live tweeting the Olympics, could not help but cheer for the French figure skater
Although Meite's program was not perfect, #Blackgirlmagic is also about showing people how you bounce back from a spill
