The Kardashians Win Big in Blac Chyna’s $100 Million Defamation Trial
The Kardashian family has emerged victorious in the defamation lawsuit filed against them by model Blac Chyna — who has a daughter with the lone Kardashian son, Robert Jr.
Chyna sued the family for defamation and interfering with a contract after the reality show, Rob & Chyna was canceled. She was seeking more than $100 million in damages—and has been awarded none.
According to Variety, the famous family won the case and was not ordered to pay anything to Chyna. However, after two days of deliberations, the jury did find that the Kardashians “often acted in bad faith on the issues brought up in the case,” per the Associated Press. They also found that while the Kardashians were not justified in telling producers that Chyna had abused Rob—that they felt it had no substantial effect on the model getting a second season of the reality spinoff.

One of the largest allegations during the trial centered on a fight between Chyna and Rob where she allegedly choked him with a phone cord, put a pistol to his head, and more. Both Rob Kardashian and Chyna testified about the incident during the trial. Kardashian told the jury, “She strangled me, she put a gun to my head twice, she was on cocaine and alcohol.”
Chyna testified that she was just being “silly” and that holding the gun was a “joke.”
Lynne Ciani, Chyna’s attorney, told the AP she plans to appeal.
The verdict was read in Los Angeles while the Kardashians were in New York for the MET Gala — where Kim wore a vintage dress originally worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1962 when she wore it to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President,” to John F. Kennedy on his 45th birthday, according to Vogue.
