Joss Stone Target of Attempted Murder
Sounding something like the plot of a horror film or suspense thriller, two men were arrested outside of soul singer Joss Stone's home in Britain on Monday [June 13] with swords, rope, a body bag, maps, aerial photos of the singer's home and a clear intent to kill.
According to the New York Daily News, the two men were sitting in a red Fiat Punto when they were apprehended. The duo had driven more than 200 miles from Northern England to get to Stone's home in Devon.
Thankfully neighbors reported the suspicious car loitering in the area. Detective Inspector Steve Parker, the lead investigator, thanked those who reported the car. "We're unable to say anymore at this time, but I would like to thank the local residents for reporting the suspicious car," he said in a statement. "It's important to stress that no properties have been burgled and no individuals have been harmed."
It is still unclear if the 24-year-old singer was home at the time of their arrest or what the suspects' motive was.
