50 Cent Gets Political on Facebook
As the economy continues to stagger, the 2012 election campaign drones on and Occupy Wall Street protests take over the world, many are beginning to pay attention and listen.
As previously reported by BET.com, hip hop heads like Kanye West, David Banner, Russell Simmons and Lupe Fiasco have shown support.
While many more could get involved, 50 Cent is the latest to speak out. Airing his grievances on his Street King’s Facebook page, the mogul writes, “How f**ked up that we have evidence that the big Banks have been corrupt, yet our governments aren’t punishing those that have stolen from the pension funds.”
50, who has pledged to feed one million people in Africa, expressed his anger against hunger saying, “And children who need a meal go without because our politicians won’t stop thinking of themselves long enough…Im f**kn angry that Children are dying everyday.”
Admiring the OWS protesters’ courage to demand financial equality, the Queens rapper suggests, “if a company isn't giving back, stop buying from them. together we can say – WAKE UP A-HOLES! The game is over.”
G-Unit’s head honcho then ends his post by shouting out OWS groups whereever they are, admitting, “You are waking up the world, including me.”
