Listen To Beyoncé New Dance Song ‘Break My Soul’
This is not an alert: Beyoncé just dropped a new song!
Following her announcement last week that she has a new album RENAISSANCE coming next month (July 29, 2022 to be exact), Beyoncé released the first offering from the LP at midnight on Tuesday (June 21).
Subtly sharing the news of her latest single drop in the bio of her social media pages, the Grammy-winning singer wrote simply, “6. BREAK MY SOUL midnight ET.”
In what is sure to be the dance song of the year, Beyoncé samples the Robin S. classic house song, “Show Me Love” and yes, that's Big Freedia's 2014 hit, "Explode" you hear as the background tracks. According to Pitchfork, the song is produced by Beyoncé, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, BlaqNmilD, and Jay-Z.
Bey revealed she’s releasing her upcoming seventh solo studio album, RENAISSANCE on July 29. The album is said to be comprised of 16-songs.
Her last single "Be Alive" written for the movie King Richard was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2022 and her 2020 single, “Black Parade,” garnered her the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance. Black Is King, her visual album, was released that same year. Six years ago, fans fell in love with the brilliance of her 2016 album, Lemonade.
