Mindless Behavior is back to defend their title as young R&B heavyweights with their forthcoming third full-length album, #OfficialMBMusic, due out tomorrow (June 24).

In advance of the group performing this weekend as part of the BET Experience, they have generously shared an early listen of their project, which showcases a welcome change to their sound and their lineup alike.

Since making their major label debut in 2011, the trio, comprised of members Princeton, E.J. and Mike River, have won over the hearts of listeners everywhere with their own distinctive blend of spirited and soulful R&B.

Taking a break from music to finish up high school and begin their college careers, the group has now returned, much to the delight of their ever-expanding fanbase, and their sound is bigger and better than ever.

“We all had grown up together,” Princeton says. “It was good to take a step back for a minute.”

Now that the group has reformed, with original members Roc Royal, Prodigy and Ray Ray amicably parting ways, the difficult decision to evolve their lineup has done wonders for their gritty, forward-thinking sound, with Princeton saying, “We’ve gone to the next level. This is who we are now as musicians and young men.”
