Report: Lil Uzi Vert’s Artist Lotta Cash Desto Dead Following Shooting
Lotta Cash Desto, a rising Memphis rapper affiliated with Lil Uzi Vert, was reportedly shot and killed in Houston.
FOX 3 reports that Desto was killed early Saturday near 5500 Richmond Avenue in West Houston. The incident took place at around 2:30 a.m. local time while she was driving a Porsche SUV with at least one passenger inside.
Police found two women with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. One of the victims, who is believed to be the rapper, was immediately pronounced dead, while the other woman was transported to a local hospital.
A male shooting victim was reportedly found nearby and taken to a private medical facility. Both the male and female victims who did not die are expected to survive.
“We don’t have any information about motive at this time. It could be road rage,” HPD Assistant Chief Wyatt Martin told reporters Saturday, according to FOX 3. “It could have been robbery. We just don’t know, and we don’t have enough information at this time to make a determination.”
No suspects have been identified by HPD as witnesses are being interviewed.
