Donovan McNabb Suspended by Fox Sports Following DUI Arrest
That second DUI arrest is proving costly for Donovan McNabb.
After being arrested for driving under the influence in late June, his second such arrest since December 2013, McNabb has been suspended as a TV commentator with Fox Sports.
“Donovan McNabb has been suspended indefinitely,” Fox Sports said in a statement to Sports Illustrated. “It is important that Donovan use this time as best he can to resolve his personal situation.”
McNabb was arrested after he rear-ended a stopped vehicle at a traffic light in Gilbert, Ariz., on June 28. The former six-time NFL Pro Bowler was taken to a holding facility where he was cited and released.
“There was a story that was released, and I want everybody to be cognizant of it, because I am very aware of it, handling the matter at this particular point,” McNabb said on his radio show last week, as reported by Pro Football Talk. “But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we’ll let it handle as it will handle itself.”
