Donald Glover has officially announced the release date for his sixth and final album under the moniker Childish Gambino. 

The project, titled Bando Stone & The New World, will be released on July 19 through RCA Records. He also unveiled the first single, “Lithonia.”

Ahead of the launch date on July 6th, Childish Gambino will host an exclusive interactive event at Little Island in NYC, offering a first listen to the new project. Tickets for "Childish Gambino Live from Little Island" go on sale July 3rd at 10 AM ET.

Over the weekend, the musician unveiled a trailer for the movie Bando Stone & the New World. Glover both stars in and directs this film, which includes music from his latest album.

The entertainer also made headlines this past Sunday (June 30) when he called out the BET Awards for his lack of wins while presenting rapper Killer Mike with the Album of the Year award.

Glover remarked that it makes "no sense" that he has more Grammys than Will Smith, with five compared to Smith's two, but he and white British singer Sam Smith have the same number of BET Awards, with one each.

“Does that make sense to you guys? Me and Sam Smith are neck and neck at the Black Entertainment Television [Awards],” Glover wondered aloud. “If I have to do Baby Boy or something, just let me know," he added. "I’ll have Jonathan Majors put me in a headlock, shave my head, I’ll do it.”

The Bad Boys star, watching from monitors in his dressing room backstage, later uploaded a clip of himself cracking up as Glover made his case.
