Letitia Wright Gives Update On Black Panther 3, Thinks It's 'Already In The Works'
Letitia Wright is updating fans of the Black Panther franchise that the third chapter of the movie series is possibly already being talked about.
Speaking with Variety at the Golden Globes pre-show on Tuesday (Jan. 10), Wright shared that she believes Black Panther 3 has already been greenlit.
“I think it’s already in the works,” Wright replied. “You know, we just had a terrific two years of bringing it out and everybody coming together to support it. We need a little bit of a break, we need to regroup and [director] Ryan [Coogler] needs to get back into the lab, so it’s going to take a little while, but we’re really excited for you guys to see that.”
Adding, “I always try to do positive words and positive thinking, and I believe that good words manifest, so I’m manifesting a ‘Black Panther 3,’ why not?”
In other Black Panther: Wakanda Forever news, actress Angela Bassett made history at the Golden Globes show for being the first to win a Golden Globe for a Marvel movie. Bassett took home the Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture award for her role as Queen Ramonda.
“I got to find my words. I’m so nervous. My heart is just beating,” Bassett said. “The late Tony Morrison said that your life is already a miracle of chance just waiting for you to order its destiny. But in order for that destiny to manifest, I think that it requires courage to have faith. It requires patience, as we just heard. And it requires a true sense of yourself. It’s not easy because the past is circuitous and it has many unexpected detours but by the grace of god I stand here. I stand here grateful.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has made $831 million worldwide since it officially premiered in theaters on Nov. 11.
