Beanie Sigel Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion
The rapper faces up to three years in prison.
Rapper Beanie Sigel appeared in Federal court Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to owing almost $350,000 in back taxes. Now, he could face up to three years in prison for income tax evasion.
Sigel was originally accused of failing to report over $1,000,000 and failing to pay taxes from 2003 to 2005 when he was signed under Roc-A-Fella Records.
Sigel will be sentenced November 18, but his lawyer, Fortunato Perri Jr., will challenge the amount the goverment says his client owes.
