Rosie O’Donnell has found a home for her new talk show at Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. The popular media personality will host the new show this fall. It will tape in Winfrey’s old Chicago studio, Harpo, according to the New York Post.

“I just wanted to say hi, and I'm coming to Chicago,” O'Donnell said in a video posted to her blog Monday night. “It's a huge thrill for me.”

She thanked Winfrey for the opportunity, as well as the viewers "who will be sticking around and helping us make a kick-ass show for the Oprah Winfrey Network."

O'Donnell is no stranger to having her own show. She hosted The Rosie O'Donnell Show from 1996 to 2002, subsequently winning six Emmy Awards. In 2006, she joined the panel on ABC's The View, where she sparred daily with fellow host Elisabeth Hasselbeck until her contract ended the following year. While there was also some highly public tension between O’Donnell and View co-host Barbara Walters, Oprah is thrilled to have O’Donnell join her team.

"I'm delighted to welcome Rosie to the studio I've called home for so many years," Winfrey said in a statement. "Speaking from experience, she will be working with the best team in television in one of the greatest cities in the world."

Oprah is so excited that her network ordered 130 episodes of O'Donnell's new show.

Winfrey's talk show will end its 25-year run on May 25. After the show ends, Winfrey will focus her attention on the recently launched OWN.
