  • AFROPUNK BLKTOPIA

    AFROPUNK BLKTOPIA will take place from Friday (Aug. 23) to Saturday (Aug. 24) in Brooklyn's Prospect Park.

    Erykah Badu will headline the event. Other performers include Durand Bernarr, Larissa Luz, and more.

    According to the official website, this event is a "space where the designs of oppression are dismantled and the benefits of sustainability accrue to all. It’s about crafting a reality grounded in justice and equity, where every member of the Black diaspora can be set up to flourish. It calls for a vision that is free from historical constraint by considering what a full re-envisioning would make possible in order to establish something alive with vibrancy and possibility."

    On Saturday (Aug. 31), Skillibeng, Bunji Garlin, Nailah Blackman, and The Cavemen will be performing at Coney Island Artwall.

  • Fool in Love Festival

    Lionel Richie and Diana Ross are set to headline the first-ever Fool in Love Festival on Saturday (Aug. 31) at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.

    The one-day event also includes performances from legendary musicians like Nile Rodgers & Chic, Al Green, Santana, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, Durand Jones & The Indications, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, and Kool & The Gang, to name a few.

    Afro Carnival is back!

    The music festival, curated by DJ Tunez, weaves together the true essence of Afro-Caribbean traditions.

    Maleek Berry, Denise Belfon and DJ Tunez are set to headline the event on Saturday (Aug. 17) at Industry City in Brooklyn.
