Ghostface Killah to Release 36 Seasons Album
Ghostface Killah is hip hop’s new “superhero for the 21 century” with his forthcoming album, 36 Seasons, reports Rolling Stone. The conceptual release finds Ghost slipping into the role of a “Staten Island vigilante” on a “quest for personal retribution bent on saving his community from the grips of crooked authority and urban decay,” according to a press release.
The 14-track album is led by the song “Love Don’t Live Here No More” and features guest spots from Pharaohe Monche, AZ, Kool G Rap, and more.
Ghostface's superhero theme extends past the track ist into the album packaging itself. The LP holds 20 pages of images illustrated by Matthew Rosenberg, who also created the accompanying comic book for the Staten Island-born lyricist’s Twelve Reasons to Die release from last year.
36 Seasons drops Dec. 9 and is available for pre-order.
