A$AP Rocky Named Ray-Ban Studios’ First Creative Director

The rapper and fashion icon is bringing his vision to Ray-Ban after securing a major legal win.

A$AP Rocky is stepping into a historic new role just days after dodging a serious legal threat.

The Harlem-born rapper and style icon has been named the first-ever creative director for Ray-Ban Studios, marking a major career milestone shortly after being found not guilty of charges related to a 2021 shooting incident.

With the case now behind him, Rocky is shifting his focus to creative pursuits, starting with Ray-Ban Studios—a platform dedicated to celebrating music and artistry.

“I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving,” the “Tailor Swif” emcee said in a press release. “I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban.”

His first project, The Blacked Out Collection, offers a fresh take on Ray-Ban’s signature Mega eyewear line, featuring sleek ultra-black lenses and gold-plated details.

The collection, set to drop in April, blends classic style with Rocky’s modern edge. Ray-Ban President Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio praised the rapper’s bold vision, saying, “Today, we are welcoming A$AP Rocky into our family; he’s a visionary artist and creator. His ability to push the boundaries of the diverse worlds he explores aligns with the Ray-Ban DNA.”

Beyond eyewear, Rocky will also help shape Ray-Ban’s brand campaigns and revamp retail spaces, bringing his signature style and music influence to the company’s image.

Aforementioned, this announcement comes just days after Rocky was acquitted of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm—charges that carried a potential nine-year prison sentence. The case, which stemmed from an alleged altercation with former friend A$AP Relli in Los Angeles, ended in a legal victory for the rapper, allowing him to move forward with both his music and fashion endeavors.
