Kim Porter’s passing shocked everyone, and those closest to her were most affected.

Some have already reacted publicly and others have waited a while to say something, possibly because they couldn’t put their grief into words. Lil Kim, who was signed to Bad Boy Records and was close to Diddy when she was dating the model/actress, is now speaking out about losing someone she says was so “special.”

“I’ve tried to write something so many times, but I can’t put into words how special Kim Porter was,” Kim captioned under a video of Porter playing piano. “Oh my Kim. There are so many memories with the family and although you were talented at many things, you had one of the major roles and held down the family like none other.”

She followed up with another tweet that involved family: “With today being about family, I can’t help but honor this amazing woman and the family,” she wrote. “Hold your family tight a little longer today. I will always be there for my extended family. Thanks for all of your prayers. Rest in Paradise Kim Porter.”

Kim Porter passed away at the age of 47 last Thursday (November 15). The Los Angeles coroner has called for an “additional investigation” into her death. Porter’s cause of death is currently “deferred” for further testing. It was previously reported that she was receiving medical treatment for pneumonia prior to her death.
