Lauryn Hill is serious about reconnecting with the music community. The lady who has always seemed to keep the majority of her life private has finally joined Twitter. The rapper/singer, who goes by @MsHillMvngTrgt on Twitter, has decided to keep her fans updated with the latest information on her career.

In the first and only message thus far, Ms. Hill posted the following:

“Brave New World. I did this to finally provide a place FOR YOU where more accurate information can replace the many inaccuracies out there. Stay tuned for updates and see you soon. Please use this medium respectfully and maximize life to the fullest…I will.”

Lauryn’s Twitter name is reflective of her current tour, Moving Target, which has just been extended. On the tour, Hill performs new renditions of some of her classics as well as new music at smaller venues. “One of the benefits of playing venues smaller than the ones I’m used to [is that it] allows me the opportunity to not only reconnect with my supporters but to expose them to a portion of the musical journey I’ve been on which the world for the most part has not had access to,” she said.
