Jamie Foxx Thanks Friends & Family For Prayers
Close friends and family of Academy Award-winning actor and artist Jamie Foxx have asked fans to “pray for Jamie,” who remains in Georgia hospital three weeks after initially being admitted for a mystery medical emergency.
According to TMZ, unidentified sources say prayers are urgently needed for the Day Shift star, who fans last thought was steadily recovering since his daughter Corrine Foxx broke news of her father’s startling condition in an April 12th post on Instagram.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the statement from the family said. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
Details on the 55-year-old’s exact condition have been kept extremely private as fans continue to send their support to the veteran Hollywood actor via social media.
Foxx acknowledged the support by sharing a hopeful message on his Instagram page Wednesday afternoon, May 3, writing, “Appreciate all the love!!!” before sharing that, he was “feeling blessed.”
Before falling ill, Foxx had been filming an upcoming Netflix film, Back in Action. Production has since been using a stunt double and body double, the outlet reported.
Foxx, who served as the host and executive producer of Beat Shazam, will also be missing from this season. His daughter, who DJs on the interactive game show, will also be absent. The actress has remained at her dad’s side at the hospital. Filming on the show has reportedly already begun with host Nick Cannon.
Our prayers and best wishes go out to the prolific entertainer and his family.
