Cardi B Pleads Guilty To Strip Club Brawl Charges In Efforts To ‘Move On’ With Her Life

The Bronx native will serve 15 days of community service to avoid jail time.

Cardi B avoided jail time after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges for assault and reckless endangerment for her part in the bottle-throwing incident at a Queens strip club, according to the NY Post.

The rapper appeared in court with two co-defendants who also pled guilty with all three agreeing to stay away from the two female victims.

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions," the Bronx rapper said in a statement.

"As a mother, it's a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I've made bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don't define me and do not reflect who I am now. I'm looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and returning to the things I love the most -- the music and my fans."

Part of the “WAP” rapper’s plea is she will serve 15 days of community service. If the “Bodak Yellow” fails to complete, she will serve 15 days in prison.

In a statement, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz shared "No one is above the law."

"In pleading guilty today, Ms. Belcalis Almanzar and two co-defendants have accepted responsibility for their actions. This Office is satisfied with the resolution, which includes appropriate community service."

PageSix reported the “Press” rapper felt like she “looked good” after learning about the plea and leaving the courthouse.

Drew Findling, who served as her lawyer during the case, shared the rapper accepted the plea deal in effort to “move on” in her life.

“There are too many things that she has planned for her family, for her career and for the community and she just felt, quite honestly,  that a three-week jury trial was going to be a distraction from the things that she felt was most important and so, hence, we made contact with the prosecution,” Findling said.

“It’s been over four years, and Cardi has really moved to another part of her life. We are talking about a life of being happily married with two beautiful children.”
