Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Her Postpartum Experience: ‘It's Not Easy Mentally, Physically, Spiritually’
Despite posting most of her lifestyle choices on social media, Kylie Jenner is famously known for keeping her pregnancy journeys private. However, the beauty mogul is breaking her silence and opening up about her postpartum recovery just six weeks after giving birth to her second child with rapper Travis Scott.
“It’s very hard,” the 24-year-old shared in a series of videos posted to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday. “This experience for me, personally, has been a little harder than with my daughter [Stormi].”
On February 6, Kylie announced to the world that she gave birth to her son, Wolf, on 2-22-22.
In hopes to let other moms know they are not alone, she went on to explain that her postpartum experience has been difficult.
"It's not easy mentally, physically, [and] spiritually, it's just crazy," she continued. "And yeah, I didn't just want to get back to life without saying that because I think we can look on the internet—for other moms going through it right now—we can go on the internet, and it might look a lot easier for other people, and put the pressure on us, but it hasn't been easy for me either."
The new mom also got candid about the struggles of hitting the gym after giving birth. "It's been hard," she explained before revealing that she wasn’t sure if she was going to make her workout. She added, "But I'm here, and I'm feeling better. So you got this!"
In a separate post on her IG Stories, Kylie reminded other moms not to put too much pressure on themselves, even if the world does.
"It's OK not to be OK. Once I realized that I was putting some pressure on myself and I just keep reminding myself I made a whole human, a beautiful healthy boy," she explained. "We have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be 'back.' Not even physically, just mentally, after birth. So yeah, just sending some love. I love you guys!"
We are here for the transparency, Kylie.
Join us in sending love to new moms as they heal both physically and mentally after giving birth!
