Bronny James Dines Out With Family After Cardiac Arrest
Bronny James, 18, was spotted on a night out with his family this weekend, just days after suffering a cardiac arrest during a basketball workout at USC where he is a freshman.
He went to dinner Friday with his father LeBron James, the NBA legend, his mother Savannah, brother Bryce and sister Zhuri. According to PEOPLE, the family dined at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif, an Italian restaurant where they are regulars.
“LeBron brought his family for Friday night dinner," a source told PEOPLE, noting that his son quietly enjoyed his meal. "It was of course wonderful to see Bronny after the frightening week. LeBron and the family are regular guests. Everyone was praying for Bronny’s recovery."
The report adds that patrons approached the family and shared their wishes for Bronny's continued healing, and that LeBron expressed his gratitude.
The teenager was reportedly dressed in a gray hoodie, black track pants and gray sneakers--and was seen chatting with his younger brother and father.
Days after suffering the cardiac arrest, LeBron broke his silence to express his gratitude for the outpouring of support, writing on Twitter, “I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful."
“Everyone is doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us,” his tweet continued.
A highly-touted high school basketball prospect, Bronny signed with USC during the offseason to join several top-five players in its incoming recruiting class.
Before his health scare, Bronny was preparing to make his debut at an overseas exhibition tour in Croatia and Greece beginning Aug. 5.
