Slim Thug Reveals He Has Tested Positive For Coronavirus
Houston rapper Slim Thug took to social media to reveal he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Tuesday (March 24), Thug revealed his test results in a video while urging his fans to take the coronavirus pandemic seriously. He shared that he’s been cautious and has mostly been staying home, as ordered, but he still caught the virus in spite of his efforts.
“As careful as I’ve been self-quarantining [and] staying home...I might have went and got something to eat or did something like that...simple stuff...Nothing crazy,” he explained. “[I] stayed in my truck, had masks, gloves, everything and my test came back positive.”
The 39-year-old urged fans to take heed of the shelter-in-place mandates that are going into effect across the U.S. as cases continue to soar. Per CNN’s latest tally, there are more than 48,000 reported cases, and the coronavirus has claimed at least 611 lives nationally.
“Y’all gotta take this stuff seriously,” he implored. “Sit home, self-quarantine, do not come outside for however long they saying. If you have symptoms, you need to get checked out.”
In spite of his precaution, Thug said he had a “slight fever” and “cough.” But other than that, he’s feeling well now. “I’m good. I feel good. I don’t got no problems right now,” he assured fans. “The other day, I had a slight fever and a cough. I feel better. I don't got no fever. I feel like I'm good, but y'all better take it serious. It's real out here.”
