Ayesha Curry Says She's Not An 'NBA Wife' And Twitter Has Some Thoughts
Ayesha Curry has built a reputation for being both the girl next door and an approachable businesswoman who many women aspire to be like. However, while she's an accomplished entrepreneur in her own right, her title of "Stephen Curry's wife" still manages to overshadow her other ventures.
Well, simply put, she doesn't appreciate the generalization and expressed that she believes there's a double standard, especially as far as her particular situation is concerned.

The mother of two and host of the Food Network show Ayesha's Home Kitchen was asked during a recent interview with Nightline what she considers to be her most important titles.
"Obviously mom and wife first," she said before being asked what she thinks of the moniker "NBA wife."
"I don't think I'll ever call myself that," she responded, before adding, "I mean, I don't think my husband would call himself 'chef's wife.'"

Elsewhere in the interview, she also shared some advice she received about always maintaining her own identity.
"One thing that my mom alway stold me was to never lose yourself inside of your marriage," she said. "I'm happy that I've been able to find that so-called balance and be able to pursue my passions and take care of my family."
She expounded on this point in a tweet following her interview:
Twitter seemed to have some mixed reactions to her comments with some agreeing with her reasonings while others explained that she should take pride in the role.
