Beyoncé's Iconic Formation Hat Just Sold For $27K At An Auction
There are so many people in the world that would love to brag about owning a piece of Beyoncé memorabilia, but one lucky (and rich) bidder is walking away with one of Bey's most iconic and legendary accessories yet — the Formation tour hat.
While we stand on the sidelines with envy, we are glad to know it was for a good cause!
According to TMZ, Bey donated the black wide-brim hat she wore during the 2016 Formation World Tour to a Heritage Auction to help raise money for the Lung Transplant Project — a non-profit that raises money and awareness to reduce the waiting list time for transplants.
Although the "Formation" hat was estimated to sell for between $1,000 to $2,000, we weren't surprised to find out the piece of history sold for $27,500!
Don't they know anything Queen Bey touches is royal?
What makes the hat more special is that Bey signed the inside of the brim: All my love –Beyoncé'.
Even Pharrell Williams got into the giving mood by donating Adidas Originals — one signed by Pharrell, the other to be customized by the winning bidder — sold for $11,375.
Yasss for charity!
