Travel Tuesday: 8 Romantic Getaways For Couples

Baecation in Turks and Caicos? We're there.

It’s baecation season, baby! After Jordan Woods dropped a subliminal baecation post with her boyfriend, Karl Anthony, we all started looking up flights. And while a vacation is a great way to take time away from reality, choosing where to go can be a bit challenging.

It’s times like this we wish we could be everywhere simultaneously because there are so many great options to choose from. Does anyone else low key wish they could be in their “Little Mermaid era” and swim to the best destinations? Until then, here are a few great baecation spots to make part of your world.

  • Maldives

The Maldives is a perfect location to get away and pour into your loved one. A place where hotels are literally in the middle of the ocean, it’s easy to feel like it’s only you and your bae on an island. The best time to visit the Maldives is April to November. If you want to visit during the summer, it’s important to remember the monsoon season. During this time, moist air from the southwest Indian Ocean can cause humid climates and aggressive rainfall, so check the weather forecast before booking.

  • Turks and Caicos

Alexa, play Turks by NAV and Gunna! Cause we ain't picking up; we're in Turk's little baby! "Everyone will be left on "read" when you're in Turks with your bae! Turks and Caicos is a popular destination and encourages rap lyrics for a reason. This destination spot is known for its turquoise blue waters and gorgeous beaches. If you're looking for a luxurious stay, try AMANYARA. Its beachfront rooms, wellness immersions, and romantic beach dinners can help you to unwind.

  • Dubai

Loved for its breathtaking sky scrappers, world-class restaurants, luxury shopping district, and fountains, Dubai is a city that only exudes luxury at its finest. Atlantis Royal is a great hotel to add to your luxury vacation. Grab your bae and enjoy a stay filled with an electric night scene, a water park, and chic hotel rooms with panoramic views of the city. Dubai is also known for its beach clubs! Kyma has been a favorite since its opening in September. Located on Palm West Bech, Kyma is a place for partying and lounging by the poolside.

  • Greece

A European vacation is always a good idea, especially in Greece. This destination has a little bit of everything for every couple. Enjoy a day at the beach, horseback riding, or shopping as Greece is known for its handmade leather items and ceramic art. No more trying to recreate that overpriced CB2 vase at your local pottery class! Greece also has a series of islands that are loved for their incredible ocean views. Santorini is at the forefront of the Mediterranean Sea, providing gorgeous views for miles.

  • Hawaii

Passport isn’t giving what it’s supposed to give? No problem! Thankfully, we have the beautiful island of Hawaii. The island, created by a volcanic hot spot, is a popular destination for reconnecting with nature, themselves, and loved ones. Enjoy the immense culture that Hawaii has to offer. The food, dance, and luxury beach destination are a must for couples. Go on a sailing trip, gaze under the star, have a romantic dinner on the beach, or indulge in some sweet Hawaiian chocolate.

  • Iceland

If you're looking for a vacation that combines luxury and beautiful landscapes, try Iceland. Specifically, try staying at The Retreat Hotel, a spa hotel bound to rejuvenate any love. Relax in the award-winning blue lagoons surrounded by Icelandic nature. Experience the power of Blue Lagoon water as you enjoy a glass of champagne while overlooking the mountains of this incredible country. Iceland is also known for its northern lights, so plan your trip with plans to take a look at the magical night sky.

  • Seychelles

You may not have heard about the Seychelles Islands. This destination is 995 miles from Kenya and takes about 18 hours by flight from New York City. It is removed from the typical daily hustle and bustle; you could feel like it's just you and your partner on an island. However, Seychelles is quickly becoming one of the top destinations for honeymooners. Still, an exotic location doesn't have to destroy your budget, as there are always deals. You can find those by setting a google alert, download an app like Skyscanner. Additionally, brands offer direct discounts like ANANTARA Resort with up to 10% off. The resort has great activities like a helicopter ride at sunrise or sunset.

  • Bora Bora

Bora Bora Baby! Located in the Society Islands archipelago of French Polynesia, it is great for a beautiful oceanic getaway. Its attractive ocean views have played a role in scenic bungalows, snorkeling, and protected reefs. These views make for incredible "couples goals" Instagram photos but will come at a cost. The average stay on Bora Bora will cost you between $5,000 to $22,000. The Four Seasons is a good option if you're not worried about cost. Honeymoon suits, ocean bungalows, luxury spa experiences, and Polynesian shows are just a few of the accommodations this elite resort offers.
