DDG is proud of his new role as a dad and can't get over how precious his baby boy is.

The "Famous" rapper gushed on social media about his and Halle Bailey's son, Halo, and ya'll it's so cute. While he says they are not planning to reveal their son's face, he offered a glimpse into how cute baby Halo really is.

“Yeah, ya’ll, I’m a dad!" he began in the video that was reposted on Monday (Jan. 8) by The Shaderoom. "I don’t plan on showing his face, she don’t plan on showing his face; it’s just too priceless.”

"He’s great looking," he continued.

The newly minted dad gave fans a list of some of Halo's characteristics and it appears that the current Gerber baby might be in for some steep competition.

“Think of a handsome kid, [a] handsome child, newborn by the way, features ain’t fully developed. Think about the most handsomest kid in the world, blend me and her [Bailey] looks together, but think of him as being the best features of us possible. That’s what he looks like.”

Additionally, he said their son entered the world thriving in good health.

“He’s a beautiful baby, and a healthy baby. Thank the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s all that really matters; that’s he’s healthy and able to live a great life, stress-free."

After months of fan speculation, the parents announced their son's grand entrance via Instagram on Saturday (Dec. 6).

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo. The world is desperate to know you,” Bailey posted on her Instagram, along with a photo of her hand holding that of her son. 

The baby is also sporting a gold nameplate bracelet around his tiny wrist. A third hand anchors the two underneath and we can only speculate that it belongs to DDG, who has reposted the same image to his account on the app.

“The Color Purple” and “Little Mermaid” actresses and DDG (otherwise known as Darryl Dwayne Grandberry Jr.) have been an item since March 2022, according to PEOPLE. The couple went public with their relationship when they attended the Usher residency together in Las Vegas. By June 2022, they were at the BET Awards together, looking amazing on the red carpet.
