High school sweethearts Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant are ending their ten-year marriage, reports TMZ. Vanessa filed divorce papers on Friday citing "irreconcilable differences," and seeking joint custody of their daughters Natalia, 9, and Gianna, 6.
The couple reportedly had no pre-nup, so according to California laws, Vanessa will be entitled to half of Kobe's empire. She has also asked for spousal support, a request Kobe granted immediately.
TMZ's sources claim infidelity on Kobe's part was "the straw that broke the camel's back." Vanessa famously stuck by her man after his 2003 sexual assault case brought by a female Colorado hotel employee, but she believes he has been unfaithful again. "She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough," added the source.
Kobe, who was spotted looking glum at Kanye West and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne concert on Tuesday night, "desperately" wants to win Vanessa back and will do "whatever it takes" to save his marriage, reports the gossip site.
