Magoo Dies At Age 50
Magoo, one of the first Virginia rappers to go platinum and half of the duo Timbaland & Magoo, has reportedly passed away. He was 50 years old.
Digital Black, of the group Playa, broke the news via his Instagram account on Sunday (August 13).

“Man can’t believe this RIP Magoo damn big bro wasnt ready for this at all #superfriends,” he captioned a post featuring the album cover of Timbaland & Magoo’s album Welcome To Our World.
A cause of death has not been publicly released.
Timbaland & Magoo was originally formed in 1989 when they were just teenagers. The duo was best known for their single “Up Jumps Da Boogie,” They released three albums and were well-known for their work with fellow Virginian Missy Elliott.
Two years ago, there was an effort to re-release the full Timbaland & Magoo catalog by Blackground Records and Empire Distribution. That deal allowed the catalog to be released to streaming platforms, making it available to larger audiences.
