Hip Hop Awards 2022: Get Familiar with the ‘Breakthrough’ Nominee Nardo Wick
Rapper Nardo Wick is one of the newest artists from Florida that have been making serious noise in the music industry.
The burgeoning emcee earned a nomination for “Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist” at this year’s Hip Hop Awards, hosted by Fat Joe. However, Nardo faces a tough race against several equally talented newcomers, including fellow Floridan and recent TDE signee, Doechii, Saucy Santana, Baby Keem, Blxst, Fivio Foreign, and GloRilla.

Who Want Smoke?
Nardo is perhaps best known for his viral hit record “Who Want Smoke,” The song’s infectious bass and catchy lyrics made it a fan favorite on social media sites like Tik Tok. The track later received G- Herbo, Lil Durk, and 21 Savage-assisted remix, further propelling the song’s success. The song debuted at number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
“Me Or Sum”
Nardo teams up with veteran emcee Future and rap’s new prince Lil baby for a record titled “Me or Sum.” The track finds the trio rapping about their luxurious lifestyles and the women that come with it all. The song served as the second single from Wick's debut studio album, Who Is Nardo Wick? Z3N and DVLP served as producers on the project. It peaked at no. 15 on Billboard’s Hot R&B / Hip Hop Songs.
“Dah Dah Dahdah”
“Dah Dah Dahdah” is Nardo’s latest record from his debut studio album, Who is Nardo Wick? Deluxe Edition. The song features Suzanne Vega’s famous 1987 single “Tom’s Diner” and was co-written and produced by Trademark and Wheretfisray. The music video for the record has already been viewed over six million times on YouTube after only a month since its posting.
