Cardi B & Offset's Wedding Is Already Bringing In Million Dollar Deals
Cardi B and Offset's unexpected engagement has already ignited a bidding war for their wedding special to be aired on national television.
According to a new report from TMZ, shortly after Offset popped the question to the burgeoning femcee, a handful of TV networks, including BET, VH1 and WE tv, started jockeying to seal the deal on a nationally televised wedding special.
The publication claims that hip hop's hottest new couple are on track to ink a lofty deal similar to that of Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka'oir's lavish wedding turned reality show, which was produced by BET. However, it appears as though Mona Scott-Young has already called dibs on the newly engaged couple's walk down the altar.
If you can recall, Cardi has ties to Scott-Young after being cast on Love & Hip Hop: New York for its sixth season. The Bronx native even boasts about her relationship with the TV exec on her chart-topping smash hit “Bodak Yellow.” “I just run and check the mail,” she raps. “Another check from Mona Scott.”
After months of dating and engagement rumors, Offset proposed to Cardi with an 8-karat ring on Friday (Oct. 27) during a concert in Philadelphia. The duo previously collaborated on Bardi’s “Lick” and, more recently, Migos’s “Motor Sport.”
