Jennifer Hudson’s Emotional Kobe Bryant Tribute At The NBA All-Star Game Will Leave You In Tears
It was difficult to hold an All-Star Game without Kobe Bryant being involved, however, the Lakers legend was honored in numerous ways.
Players wore number 2 and number 24 jerseys in honor of Bryant and his daughter Gianna, who perished in the January 26 helicopter crash, while the game’s scoring required the winning team to score 24 points in the final period.
Perhaps the most touching tribute to the 18-time all-star was Chicago native Jennifer Hudson’s performance of “For All We Know (We May Meet Again).”
Watch below:
“We will never see another basketball player quite like Kobe,” Magic Johnson said before fans chanted Bryant’s name and held an eight-second moment of silence. “He was passionate about being a great father, husband, filmmaker.”
Twitter reacted to the performance, and for those who watched, there weren’t many dry eyes.

Jennifer Hudson previously mourned Bryant’s death when news first broke of the tragic crash.
“It’s like every time I go to sleep and then wake up somebody else is gone! This news Hurts my heart so bad!” she wrote alongside a picture of Kobe smiling and embracing Gianna.
Kobe, Gianna, along with seven other people, were killed on January 26 while taking a helicopter to the Mamba Academy for basketball practice in nearby Thousand Oaks. The aircraft crashed in Calabasas and killed everyone on board.
Bryant and his daughter are slated to be honored on February 24 during a public memorial at the Staples Center where the basketball legend played during a significant portion of his career. The date was selected in honor of Kobe Bryant’s jersey number.
