Jamie Foxx Says ‘I Can See the Light’ Amid Recovery Following April Medical Emergency
Close to five months after his hospitalization triggered by a private medical emergency, Jamie Foxx shares that he’s “finally” beginning to feel more akin to his usual self.
On Wednesday (Aug 16), the “They Cloned Tyrone” star shared several photos of himself on Instagram. In the caption, the actor wrote, “You’re lookin at a man who is thankful… finally startin to feel like myself… ” noting that since the incident last April, “it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light…”
He continued, “I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers… I have a lot of people to thank… u just don’t know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day every day…”
Earlier this month, the Academy Award winner paid tribute to his sister Deidra Dixon, whom he credited with saving his life.
"Happy birthday to my beautiful for sister @frequency11 'D'… you are magical you are beautiful you are the courageous lionesses #leoseason," the 55-year-old captioned a gallery of photos of him and his sister. He added. “And without you I would not be here … had you not made the decisions that you made I would’ve lost my life."
