Lil Mama Debuts Cosmetics and Jewelry Collection
It's been 15 years since Lil Mama released "Lip Gloss." The single was declared gold in February 2008 and was nominated as the "Monster Single of the Year," at the MTV Video Music Awards that year.
The song was featured on her album, VYP: Voice of the Young People which came short of gold status, but the project and several other notable appearances including high-profile acting roles have allowed Lil Mama to keep reinventing herself.
The rapper/actress/and entrepreneur, whose real name is Niatia Jessica Kirkland, recently shared the news that she is launching a new beauty brand Vaniteaset Cosmetics, and the collaboration with jewelry company Aporro for her “It’s Poppin” collection, according to Rolling Out.
She shared the promo video on her Instagram page.
In the video, Lil Mama is seen looking glamorous and admiring her own reflection in a vanity mirror while the instrumental to “Lip Gloss” plays in the background.
In the short clip, she showcases some of the products that would be available for purchase, including eye shadow, makeup brushes, highlighter and lip gloss. The jewelry collection includes charm bracelets and nameplate necklaces.
Fans and followers seem to be taking to the cute collection with one writing, "I'm buying everything."
This is her second beauty partnership, she previously partnered with i-Envy by Kiss for their joint venture, 3D XOXO lashes in 2020.
According to Revolt, Lil Mama was recently seen embracing singer Alicia Keys more than 14 years after famously rushing the stage as Keys and Jay-Z performed their hit song, "Empire State of Mind," during The MTV Video Music Awards in 2019.
