Rick Ross Talks New Album
Rick Ross is "feeling like a boss supposed to" as he prepares to drop God Forgives, I Don't on December 13. In a recent conference call, Rozay talked about the new album and working with Just Blaze.
"I’m in my zone right now," he said. "I’m releasing the biggest album of my career. I wouldn’t even be releasing the album if I didn’t think it was a better body of work than the previous one."
Ross also talked about recruiting superproducer Just Blaze for the project. “I just want to tap back into that ’90s vintage Hip Hop sound ... put a spin to it, and bring that back,” Rozay said. "We cut a couple records ... [On one] particular record, I did those three verses in one take. Real hip hop enthusiasts listening to that verse closely all the way through, they can just hear how natural that s--t sounded ... It was just so vintage."
Ross didn't want to reveal much about any guests on the album, but he did promise, "I'ma keep the outside features lighter this time."
